Coach Karen Thompson is in her 10th year as an assistant coach at Oviedo HS.  She is also the proud parent of two Oviedo graduates - her daughter in the Class of 2016 and her son in the Class of 2017 who was a 4-year Oviedo Lion baseball player.   Coach Thompson attended Princeton University where she played softball and earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology.  She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law and practiced commercial litigation in Atlanta before returning to Central Florida.  Coach Thompson has coached youth baseball for the last 16 years along with devoting  time off the field volunteering with Autism Speaks and Arnold Palmer Hospital.  She works primarily as an infield and hitting coach.
